In 2015, we started United Wound Healing to provide better skin and wound care for our patients by developing and strengthening great wound care teams in skilled nursing facilities. At the time, residents with wounds often required traveling from a nursing facility to an outpatient wound care center for treatment. This proved to be very uncomfortable as well as costly. We found that when a specialist would travel to the patient, this resulted in more successful outcomes, increased satisfaction, and much lower costs. Today, United Wound Healing operates in seven states, caring for over 15,000 new patients a year. Our skin and wound specialists are committed to building successful skin and wound care programs in over 400 partner skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and home health organizations. Currently, we operate in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, and Texas.
